The Hospital, one of the
earliest institutions of philanthrophy was established in 1924
by Dewan Bahadur A. M. Murugappa Chettiar in his native
village of Pallathur in the erstwhile Ramanathapuram
District (now Sivagangai District). Since then, the Hospital
has been making rapid strides in various fields of
medicines, it has expanded its activities and several new
clinics have been opened through several stages such as its
Golden Jubilee Year and Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
