This school is housed in a two acre plot in the heart of the city. The imposing main building has spacious well - ventilated class rooms, thoughtfully planned and well - equipped Science & Maths labs, Computer rooms with facilities like LAN, Internet and Multimedia, Library, Audio visual room and a Resource room. A playground flanked with shady trees, an enclosed open space for assemblies, and an activity shed are the other amenities provided for the healthy growth of children in a city starved for space. The far end of the compound now has a new block, A.M.M. Murugappa Chettiar Centenary Building, which provides for Kindergarten and primary school facilities as well as an auditorium.
The School is on the Gandhi Mandapam Road, adjacent to the Kotturpuram bus terminus. The Kotturpuram bridge provides easy access to the school. The School is also close to prestigious institutions like the Anna University, I.I.T. and the C.L.R.I. The school has a library which is well equipped with curriculum related books, besides popular fiction & classics, magazines, audio-video cassettes/CDs and VCDs. The school also subscribes to various journals of particular interest to students. The school has an institutional membership with the British Council Library. Children may make use of this facility to do reference work.

The School has state of the Art Computer Rooms with Internet and Multimedia workstations which provide the pupils with the most modern learning aids.The School has an Audio Visual hall equipped with OHP, slide projector, VCD, and a multimedia projector. The School has buses and vans plying on routes covering Kottur, Adyar, Saidapet, T.Nagar, Mandavelli, Nandanam, Velachery and Thiruvanmiyur. The routes are changed every year according to the needs of the students.
