Admissions Procedure

A.

 Admission for SSLC (10th Standard) Candidates.

  • Candidates seeking admission to the Murugappa Polytechnic College should get prescribed application form from the Principal, Murugappa Polytechnic College, for SC & ST candidates free of cost and others by paying Rs.150/- in the form of Cash or Demand Draft in favour of Principal, Murugappa Polytechnic College payable at Chennai.

  • Completed application form should reach the Principal Murugappa Polytechnic College within 15 days from the date of publication of SSLC Examination results.

  • Allocation of seats and programmes will be based on merits and communal quota.

 B.

 Admission through Sponsorship Quota for Sandwich Diploma  Programmes.

  • Candidates seeking admission through Sponsorship quota for Sandwich Diploma Programmes should obtain prescribed application form from the Principal, Murugappa Polytechnic College on production of Demand draft for Rs.150/- in favour of Principal, Murugappa Polytechnic College. The candidates should produce a letter from sponsoring industry for obtaining application forms.

  • Completed application form should reach The Principal Murugappa Polytechnic College within 15 days from the publication of SSLC Examination results.

  • Allocation of seats and programmes will be based on merits.

 

C.

Admission through Lateral Entry for HSC Candidates (Academic or Vocational) (Direct Second year only for 3 year Regular Diploma Programme)

  • Candidates seeking admission through Lateral Entry to Regular Diploma Programmes should obtain prescribed application form from the Principal, Murugappa Polytechnic College on production of Demand draft for Rs.150/- in favour of Principal, Murugappa Polytechnic College.

  • Completed application form should reach The Principal Murugappa Polytechnic College within 15 days from the publication of HSC Examination results.

    •

  • Allocation of seats and programmes will be based on merits and communal quota.
