The Government of India's national Programs for Family planning, Control of Blindness, Eradication of Leprosy, Pulse Polio and TB are being implemented by the hospital. Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital stands to serve an ever-widening circle of humanity. The Government of India have recognized this Hospital for providing Medicare for the Central Government Employees residing in and around Ambattur & Avadi.

The Hospital also undertakes education programmes to educate Doctors, Nurses and other workers. Continuing Education programmes are held once in a month for the Doctors and every week for the Nurses.
